Internal Complaints Committee

C.B.M College is committed to provide for all women employees and students of the institution, a place of work and study that is free from sexual harassment, intimidation and exploitation.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) ,C.B.M College on women affairs comprising the following members to address complaints of such harassment.

The Committee also aims

  • To create general awareness to sensitize the community about gender issues and work towards an enabling environment and conducive atmosphere of gender justice, personal security and dignity
  • To Organise various awareness programs throughout the year

PROGRAMME ON SEXUAL HARRASMENT/ABUSE IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION/WORKPLACE

The first programme of the Internal Compliance Committee (ICC) was conducted on 25-9-2018 on “Sexual Harassment/abuse in educational institution/workplace”. The chief Guest was Mrs.Thenmozhi, Advocate, Coimbatore. She explained the various aspects relating to sexual harassment. She addressed the types of abusing women at workplace. All women students and faculty along with the ICC committee members attended and benefited.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WOMEN HEALTH & PERSONAL HYGIENE

On 08.02.2019, An Awareness Programme on “women Personal Hygiene” was conducted for girl students and women faculty members of the College in Hall no.22.The Programme was presided by the Principal and the Chief guest was Dr.R.Jayashree, Family Physician ,Kovaipudur. The cleanliness and personal health factors were well addressed by the chief guest. Around 50 girl students and women faculty members participated.

WOMEN’S DAY CELEBERATIONS-2019

International women’s day was celeberated on 08-03-2019 in Hall no.22 presided by our Principal. Dr.M.Natarajan, Retired Professor in Tamil, C.B.M College was the chief guest. The guest stated the importance of women and her responsibilities, rights and equality. He delivered speech on “Magalirum Tamil Ilakkiyamum” where in which he addressed the role of women at home and quoted many examples of women importance in Tamil Ilakkiyam. All students and Faculty members of the college attended.

Sexual Harassment is an offence under The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal ) Act, 2013 No. 14 of 2013
